The exhibitions for Spring - Summer 2023 in Paris.

The days are getting longer and the nice weather is coming back!

This is what motivates us to leave our homes and stroll the streets and quays of Paris once again. And since culture is never far away in Paris, why not seize the opportunity to take a little tour of the brand new exhibitions that have arrived in the capital at the same time as spring?

In this article, Parisi Tour has put together the best Parisian exhibitions not to be missed at the beginning of 2023!

The Palais Galliera pays tribute to one of the most emblematic women artists of the 20^th century: Frida Kahlo. Far from the usual exhibitions, this one wanted to go, as its name suggests, "beyond appearances" to present the artist in her true light, and lift the veil on her personality.

Thanks to the partnership between the Palais Galliera and the Museo Frida Kahlo, this exhibition plunges you directly into the intimacy of this fantasized woman, you discover previously unpublished films and photographs and even the setting of her childhood, owing to more than 200 objects from the Casa Azul, the house where the artist was born and brought up.

If you like hors normes creations and highly original art brut, then this exhibition is for you!

At the origin of La Fabuloserie is a couple: Alain and Caroline Bourbonnais, who since 1972 have gathered an impressive collection of objects, mixing raw art, naïve and popular, with an opening to non-western cultures. And the result is stunning!

Bid farewell to aesthetics and common sense: it is without preconceived ideas that you should enter La Fabuloserie and let yourself be seduced by these art works of singular character, because you will be surprised, for sure!

A long-awaited exhibition that highlights the collaboration of the two New York artists, Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) and Andy Warhol (1928-1987), from 1984 to 1985. In one year, they created more than 160 paintings together, some of which remain among the most important of their respective careers.

In addition to their joint works, the exhibition is complemented by individual paintings by both artists, as well as others from the same artistic movement, such as Keith Haring and Kenny Scharf.

In the same vein as his previous exhibition, if you are a Basquiat fan, here is something to look forward to with a second exhibition devoted this time to the musical work of the artist.

With more than a hundred works, this exhibition is a real immersion in Basquiat's musical universe, with the places and sounds that have marked his career, as well as his many inspirations. In addition to previously unpublished archives and audiovisual documents, this exhibition brings club culture back to the forefront, from the underground to our nightclubs.

We no longer need to introduce you to L’Atelier des Lumières, which hosts magnificent immersive and sensory exhibitions every time.

This time it is the turn of Paul Klee, a talented painter and musician, to see his works projected on the walls of the studio. This digital exhibition is a touching and very accurate tribute to the two passions of the artist. And let's face it, it's a real success!

The colourful and poetic paintings seem to dance to the music, and take shape before our amazed eyes. During his career, the artist has produced more than 10,000 paintings and drawings, rather simple in appearance, but extremely technical for the initiated eye.

From 17th February 2023 to 7th January 2024 at L'Atelier des Lumières: 38, rue Saint-Maur, 11^th arrondissement.

After Tutankhamun, the Grand Halle de la Villette is hosting a new exhibition dedicated to Ancient Egypt and the pharaoh Ramses.

An exceptional collection with more than 180 original pieces, some of which have been brought out of Egypt for the very first time. In addition to this 3,000-year-old treasure, the exhibition also offers visitors a virtual reality experience to discover the magnificent temple of Abu Simbel and the tomb of Nefertari.

Get ready for a breathtaking journey through space and time!
